Chase kind of recognised the state Connor was in. He had been there. He knew that he wasn't privy to any of the circumstances, but he been twisted up in the same emotional state, so it told him that something very serious was going down here. If he had come for a fuck, it wasn't for fun but distraction. Or he hadn't come for a fuck at all, and that, in itself, spoke loudly. "It's no problem," he assured Connor, leading him around the car to the passenger's side. He unlocked it and opened the door for Connor to get in. He wasn't going to push Connor for information or grill him, but he was subtly leaving the lines of communication open. It would probably be better once they got back to his apartment because Connor seemed to be completely and totally on edge, eyes flicking around like he was expecting someone to jump on him at any moment.

Once they were in the car with the engine started, Chase turned the heating up and then popped the glove compartment open. He dug around inside for a few moment and handed Connor a half-spent strip of Valium. "Pop a couple. They'll help." At the very least, he did have his doctorly resources to draw on here. "Don't take the whole strip or I'll have to dose you with charcoal and there's way too much paperwork for that," he added, shifting the Jeep into reverse and pulling out of the parking spot to head home.
